Dystopia is commonly referred to as the hardest modification to map for. The level designer needs to create two levels, and use a host of hundreds of entities to be able to connect the two. Along with the difficulty of Dystopia's learning curve, and the complexity of the game, creating a map that is balanced and fun can be a challenge as well.

Over the years, upwards of 100 third party Dystopia maps have been created by players, most have been fun, smaller maps, but there have been a handful of very serious endeavors by level designers. This page is a salute and our contribution to those level designers who have given it their all to make a great map in a very challenging environment.

We have taken the time to wrap up all of the developer approved maps, including winners of the third party map challenge of 2007 and maps that have received a seal of "Development Quality" from Team Dystopia. These maps are available in an installation package for all to download and enjoy. Use this installation package for servers and clients to download.

iNPath is a corporation that controls most of the world-wide cybernet by controlling the physical fiber lines for a large amount of various corporations. Wielding this great power, might be the cause of their own demise. While having the luxury of controlling these lines, iNPath has felt necessary to use some of the information sent across the network for personal gain, particularly information on rival corporations and large Punk organizations. The need to protect the privacy and security of their organization is a large enough reason for the Punks to investigate a "rumor" with action. Jump in this assault style map, and sever iNPath's ability to store information on your organization.

With game play similar maps like Cybernetic and Broadcast, Tower will be sure to seat the player deeply in an immersed setting. Such a visually-appealing level from the base of the skyscraper, to the very peak of it is complimented heavily by it's feel and atmosphere. Tower's wet and standoff-style atmosphere gives the player a sense that once and for all, it's time to finally end it. There are villainous intentions in iNPath's past, but will it determine the future?

Fusion is a beautifully artistic map, with many game play similarities to that of Vaccine. It takes place in a science facility that is inset into a mountain, and surrounds a conflict in which the Punks are out to prevent the Corps from further research. The Quantum Tech Corporation has been conducting research on new, "taboo" technologies like teleportation devices or havoc-wreaking laser equipment. This research is highly confidential and the technology is still in its infant stages. The Punk organization featured was hired by a science ethics group, responsible for many lashes against different science initiatives. This group is not comfortable morally with the research being done at this Quantum Tech facility, and believes that no such technology should exist.

With an abundance of custom content, Fusion is a breath of fresh air for those seeking a rocky and run-down installation setting. The seemingly dark and malicious intentions of the corporation in question bleed over nicely to the atmosphere, to provide a critical priority in neutralizing this wicked compound. Fusion is fast paced environment and the tense, cinematic of the map will envelope the player with ease.

In the middle of no-man's land, trouble is brewing. A Punk organization has been sent to a desert facility to take control of it after a nearby power-producing compound was shut down. This gives the Punks a small window of opportunity to gain access and secure the complex's access codes. Time is of the essence for the Punk organization, as well as the corporate owner of the facility, DusTech. DusTech is now aware of the developing situation, and has sent a substantial amount of reinforcement to the installation. However, until those troops are available, the security group tasked with protecting the compound must fend off attackers for as long as possible.

Desert, a map that features ripe vehicular game play and a large open scale environment, requires the player to be efficient in every step taken and have momentum behind each one. With a large resemblance to Fortress, this map embeds the player in open outdoor combat and then creates a tense fighting atmosphere inside of the installation. Desert is a well made and artistically gratifying level that many will enjoy playing over, and over.

The World News Network, or WNN for short, is a global news and media corporation with one shortfall. The WNN is becoming better known for producing slander and false reporting, and the last nail is slowly finding its way into the coffin. Various smaller groups of people, who once knew a truthful and honest way of distributing information, have banded together to seek justice. This faction of idealists for the future have made careful plans and created a very intricate surprise plan of attack on a local WNN station to bring down a pillar of propaganda and biased reporting. A transmission mast is the target, and the WNN security personnel will have to protect this structure from its planned demise.

In a very atmospheric and eye-pleasing way, Infect provides many game play similarities to that of Detonate. Infect relays the message of doing justice to the freedom of information, and it is evident in the integrity of the atmosphere. The player must adjust to this violent background and do the world justice by either bringing the world of corrupt media down, or protecting it.

In an unlikely and highly unorthodox move, high ranking officials of Cybertech are looking for a way to bridge the gap of life and death. Cybertech, the nefarious organization responsible for most of the world's personal information publication and violation, has always been high up on the food chain of programming excellence. Now they have seen fit to secure their data by incorporating their high ranking security official's biological neural interlace into parts of the global cybernet, thus figuratively making their consciousnesses immortal.

3volution, a Punk organization that will stop at nothing to be the top dog, does not like the sound of this. Parallax's gameplay and environment convey fast-paced action that begs a good question. Who's the real enemy? The thrilling sequences throughout Parallax are evident in it's roots as a community favorite. Don't let the run down urban setting fool you, things are going very astray.

Racetrack, a fun and fast energetic map similar to Brutefun, Rooftops or Trackia. Have a relaxing time on a roundabout racetrack jumping gaps, or inside of a trick dome performing the coolest stunts, or in the coveted bruteball arena, where players attempt to score against eachother using only brutes!
