OK. To start things off, some changes in the admin team: Warsprite is leaving the admin team, and ocun will leave after the Nations cup (will still be around to do technical things). We thank both of them for their effort and past contributions.
Meanwhile we've picked up Jesbus as a new admin, and hope to add one more fairly soon.
Clan leader forum
In the past we've been asking the stance of teams on various subjects. Because we want to improve on this, a special forum section was created for this purpose. I'll just quote Hyphenated on this so you'll get the idea:

It's set so only the leader of each clan and the DGL admins can post here, but [once it opens, soon] everyone can read the posts. (a clan that doesn't have the kind of structure where there's one "leader" can choose a member to represent them however they like) This lets there be forum polls where each clan gets one vote.
Before posting things in this forum, a clan leader/representative should discuss things with the members of their clan. Their posts and votes should reflect the thoughts of their whole clan, not just their personal opinion.
S3 Playoffs
The playoffs are soon finished, with a exciting game, or two, between nb and Tank! lurking just around the corner. Pop in for a shoutcast on game hour. It will be announced.
Nations Cup 2
After that we'll launch the second edition of the DGL Nations Cup. You may remember a team called US Deep South won the first edition back in September '08.
We've taken signups in the signups thread and finalized the format and the regions. Have a look at it!

We're looking at an 8 team double elimination journey, with the first round pairings and the map cycle being made public this coming weekend. There will probably be quite a few shoutcasts from this as well.
As you can see on the division page, we've gone ahead and created all 8 teams which we will be the adding the players for in the next few days.
In the meantime, you should have enough material to get your teams organized! This includes picking a captain (important!) and team tag. We recommend each team creating a discussion thread on these forums, and also organizing a Steam group for your team which should help getting in touch with each other.
Player Awards
Going back to the DGL S3 Playoffs, you can still vote for the DGL player awards. Voting closes 1 day after the final season 3 match. Quite a few cathegories are really closely contended, like best Laser Rifle where Wildman and Kabis are almost inseperable, and 3rd spot 916.John still has the chance to sneak up behind them and snatch the reward with a good performance in the final. But then again perhaps Wildman will continue to convince and break away, or both John and Wildman will show you that Kabis is a better Laser by playing really badly?
Best DGL player of S3 seems sure of which team it will end up in, with a Top 3 (in no specific order) of Savior (<><), Bitey and joker. Did you think all 3 of them were disappointing and underperformed the whole season? Well vote for someone else then!
