For a long time, the community has been lacking of strong and informative knowledge from the developers. The game itself has had around 30 contributing developers and over 150 pre-release and playtesters. To stay true to this ideal, we will lend a better ear to our fans.

We have made the mistake of not listening enough to the community and giving official information out to you fans. In the next few months, certain initatives will be taken so that the Dystopia community can get a voice out on what they believe.

The biggest initiative is the re-introduction of our suggestions forums. Here fans have the ability to suggest topics and vote on them. Popular ones that the general public agree on will raise to the top with eventual listing on the suggestions page while the others will be buried. Head on over to the improved suggestions forum.

The monthly updates will be making an apperance again, with the aim of every update being on the third week of every month. This month's coming update will include new information on the models that have made an appearnce on the private build. Stay tuned for that update soon!

Another iniative we will be taking is a surveys forum. Here the developers will lay out important questions to the community and request feedback. This will be a way that the developers can mine data based on everyone's opinions. If you want a say in the direction of development, this is the best place to get it.

The final initiative will be the public interest outreach program via podcasts, interviews and live question and answer sessions. The first question and answer session for the developers, memzero, twincannon, contre and urinal-cake was held on January 4th, 2008. Look forward to more announcements on the dates of when these will be happening.

In the first question and answer session, the developers reveal a lot of information regarding the next version regarding weapons, balance, bug fixes, and a possible release date. Because of the sheer size of the session, it's been split up and you can find them here:
